Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and
responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this
job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be
performed. - Leadership and support of production planning staff
and scheduling of material flow to meet production schedules and
customer requirements. - Understand capacity loads for key
departments in the plant, and identify issues/solutions as needed -
Develop and maintain Master Production Schedule (with Wheeling
Supply Chain and CCCD Inside Sales) to ensure Operational and
Customer requirements are met by accurately loading MRP system to
drive plant demands, to support business forecast, including
establishing lead-times, lot sizes and safety stocks. - Define and
track monthly production at standard cost & sales value, along with
plant standard hours in accordance with business targets - Analyze
demand requirements to identify production and supply bottlenecks
and recommend actions for resolution. - Directs production planning
to ensure on time availability of products to fill customer orders
and on time shipments. - Conduct capacity planning and provide
input to manufacturing regarding anticipated machine or manpower
capacity issues. - Works with purchasing department to update
requirements for purchased goods and materials. - Evaluates and
recommends actions to improve on time delivery performance to the
customer. - Responds to Inside Sales and Product Management issues.
- Be the key contact with Corporate Supply Chain and
Internal/External Sales Groups regarding Production Plan and
individual items/orders that need expediting - Support all Supply
Chain yearly objectives in a manner that achieves all plant Safety,
Quality, Delivery and Cost goals. - Leadership role (with Wheeling
Supply Chain & Inside Sales Manager) with development of the Supply
Chain planning for CCCD Division. - Supervise Sandusky Shipping and
Receiving personnel (Shipping Dock and Steel Room). - Responsible
for managing Outside Services (OSV) suppliers by issuing PO's and
expediting as required to meet customer demand. - Communication of
expectations to direct reports. Requirements: - Associate Degree
required. - 5 years of related work experience - Must be familiar
with general safety regulations - Fluent in MS office, MRP systems,
and other general software applications. MFG-Pro/QAD preferred.
