A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in complex gastroenterology, including expertise in ERCP cases. This contract position is based in Oakland, CA, offering a challenging and rewarding work environment within a respected medical center. The role focuses on comprehensive stepdown care, managing patients throughout their admission with a compassionate, competent, and patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities: Manage nursing care delivery from admission to discharge, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and hygiene Apply nursing processes aligned with department policies to provide cost-effective care Coordinate care involving patients, physicians, families, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes Respond promptly to medical and environmental emergencies, prioritizing patient well-being Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and regularly evaluate patient progress Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions with precision and timeliness Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication with healthcare professionals Qualifications and Experience: Current California RN License ACLS and BLS certifications Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months in a traveler role Demonstrated skills in gastroenterology nursing, including complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Ability to work every other weekend and be on-call as needed Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking capabilities Shift and Schedule: Day shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Weekend coverage every other weekend On-call availability as required Location Insight:Oakland is a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, rich history, and dynamic food scene.
